Ferragosto, the Italian festival is coming to Five Dock in Sydney on Sunday 17 August. I have been a regular with the Drummoyne Art Society stall every year, loving the vibrant display of authentic culture and heritage in my neighbourhood.

I built up the layers of this painting keeping it looser than my usual tight style, letting some layers glimpse through, leaving some edges soft and hinting at some features rather than painting them out surgically. So I hope you enjoy the result - a bit of fun.
