The foyer interiors in my office building offer ample inspiration at certain times of day, when the angle of the sun creates gorgeous long shadows and lines.

I love the charcoal works of Jude Rae and this is a bit of a homage to her very zen calm enigmatic interiors.

This work was Highly Commended by Judge Guy Troughton at the 2026 Open Awards Exhibition at the Drummoyne Art Society, where it was exhibited in April 2026.
