I am continually inspired by the small corners and lovely old buildings in my neighbourhood. Walking to shops or school in the right mood offers new glimpses of familiar places. This one is a beauty shop that has been here for many years. It's right across the road from our school and I love seeing how light changes across its surfaces, from morning to afternoon.

This painting was the Winner in Section 5 "City of Canada Bay", judged by artist Christine Webb at the 2025 Drummoyne Art Society Members Exhibition.
