Out with my son at St Luke's Oval while he was testing his new bike out, I caught this quintessential Australian summer scene, a Sunday afternoon cricket game in the suburbs. The iconic Bushells Factory on the horizon completed the composition perfectly.

I deliberately painted this quickly, loosely and without getting too much detail in. I hope the result is pleasing to the eye in its spontaneity and captures this fleeting moment well.
